Considered to be one of the best expressions of English terroir. Elegant and fresh, yet with a beautiful depth of flavour and delicious hints of roasted nut and apple compote.
History
Digby are unique. The first negociant or blending house in the United Kingdom, we seek out the best English vineyards in order to be the best and we have identified and built relationships with the top 1%. A special balance of vineyards drawn from chalk, greensand and clay sites in the South East or England. We are obsessed with terroir and carefully selecting proven vineyards that produce some of the countrys top fruit.
Regional Information
Sub region: Hampshire. From the outset, Digby focused on securing the best fruit from plots across the south of England, rather than the vineyards they could buy. A special balance of chalk, greensand, and clay sites across Dorset, Sussex, Hampshire, and Kent, are drawn out with low-intervention winemaking and long lees-ageing.
